The Department for Transport is seeking views proposals on extending the pay-as-you-go on rail and possible changes to fares.

The consultation is focusing on three key areas:

• what a pay-as-you-go travel area is, and how it would work in general
• where a pay-as-you-go travel area could cover
• the changes that could be made within the area

The deadline is 1 May 2019 and with the South East as one of the key geographical areas being looked at in this consultation all stakeholders and passengers are encouraged to provide feedback.
